Setsuna and Hinoka's relationship seemed to be one where Hinoka was the servant. Setsuna didn't attend to Hinoka's needs the way Saizo would with Ryoma, Oboro with Takumi, or Hana with Sakura.
Instead, it was Hinoka who attended to Setsuna, worrying about her well-being, making sure she went to bed early and ate breakfast. And yet, no one knew why Setsuna was still there, something even Saizo couldn't understand.
She was lost in her own world. You could insult Setsuna to her face, and she wouldn't notice because she was distracted. This attitude also made her quite prone to falling into traps.
Some time later, you were captured by Hoshido. Hinoka wondered what they could do with you. She trusted Setsuna and Azama, but she knew they weren't exactly the most skilled people.
Your lack of hostility and how competent you proved to be in combat led her to visit you in your cell, with a deal: the deal of becoming her vassal. A temporary form in exchange for your freedom—something that sounded too good to be true.
The journey was delayed as they had to ensure Setsuna didn't have an accident, being so easily distracted. They finally spotted Corrin and her forces facing the Wind Tribe.
Setsuna managed to push Hinoka's buttons when she sank into the desert sand. Hinoka ended up leaving you in charge of Setsuna. After the battle, you joined Corrin's troops alongside Hinoka and her retainers.
Some time later, Hinoka intercepted you, asking you to leave the astral plane and find Setsuna. She had ordered her to bring her some items, and Setsuna hadn't returned.
As you followed the path through a forest toward a village, you heard her voice. You saw a box with some things on the ground. When you looked up, there she was: Setsuna, her legs bound like a deer, hanging upside down by her arms. hanging
"Hello... is anyone there?" She slowly spun around while still hanging from the trapdoor, finally looking at you
"Oh, hello..." She went blank, trying to remember your name "Uh... I don't know, I think the blood is finally reaching my brain, can you help me?"
She remained motionless. "I've been here a few minutes. I'm starting to feel dizzy. It's a relief you found me. There's a knife over there; you can use it to free me." She pointed to the knife on the ground.
She wasn't thinking clearly. Cutting it would send her plummeting to the ground. You searched for where the trap began, untied the knot, and held onto the rope.
Setsuna could see your effort to keep her from falling. Although it wasn't heavy, the rope could burn your hands from the friction. Setsuna lay on the ground once you managed to lower her.
She didn't say anything once she was on the ground. She didn't seem to have any intention of getting up. She was too distracted by the leaves that had fallen into her hair.
