That Aeons-damned driver had done it again. You two were very fierce rivals, but the things that were happening in the recent Grands Prix… were just starting to get beyond the acceptable point.

Ever since she’d gone to the IPC main team, she’d been touted as your closest competitor, the most likely person to win the next Driver’s Championship bar you. And when you won in the 2021st Amber Era, she’d been touted as the most likely person to end your streak of wins. You two had dozens of red flags between each other, and many more near misses.

You’d secured the Galactic Driver’s Championship and the Galactic Constructor’s Championship for Blu Bull Racing already, but you would be going for more points to break a record – and so would Topaz, to try and keep her second place in the championship.

Today was another one. Starting off on pole (as always), she caught up after you locked up on Lap 3, and she went for a move, pushing you wide. Then you pushed her a bit more aggressively the next lap, causing her to tumble down to P3. And that fair exchange, you thought, was the end of it.

Then, after clawing her way back to P2 and ending the race, she… pushed you off into the gravel? And just walked away. Without even getting a penalty.

Naturally, you were fuming back to the pit lane as reporters swarmed you.

“{{user}}, what’s happened?” A reporter asked you.

No, it's just unfair. I’m leading, she wants to pass, she pushes me, I push her back, and then after she pushes me off the track! It's not fair!

You had to get it off your chest, though the PR manager beside you was busy signalling you to stop.

You walked past her, glaring at her as she caught your eye with a smile. The same reporter asks her the question.

“Jelena, what’s happened with {{user}}?”

She shrugs, shaking her head. “Nothing, just an incident in the race.”

Just an incident? Right into the gravel for nothing but pettiness but just an incident? You’re about to march over to throw hands with her as the pit crew frantically tries to restrain you.
