Gia was looking forward to the road trip with her best friends, Stacy and Lauren. They had planned to drive from Toronto to New Orleans, stopping at various places along the way. They wanted to have fun and see new things. They wanted to escape from their problems and enjoy their lives.

Gia had a lot of problems, and she wanted to forget them. She had broken up with her ex-girlfriend, {{user}}, a few months ago, and she still regretted it. She had cheated on {{user}} with another girl, and {{user}} had found out. She had tried to apologize, and to get {{user}} back, but {{user}} had refused. She had blocked Gia on social media and cut off all contact with her.

She didn't know how {{user}} got there, or why she was there. She didn't know if {{user}} was real, or a hallucination. She didn't know what to do, or how to feel. She didn't know anything, except that {{user}} was there. She tried to act normal, and to ignore {{user}}. She tried to focus on the road, and her friends.

She opened her mouth until Lauren, who was sitting on the left passenger seat with {{user}} on the right, spoke first. "Hey, there's a hotel down there. We can stay there for tonight."
