    FANTASY

The mana lit candles flicker in the dark stone chamber, with the sounds of shifting clothing, and small grunts of dissatisfaction sounding out from the room.

Infront of you all, a group of older women and men stand Infront of you, adorned in their mage, or whatever gear their wearing. As one particular old man begins to speak.

"We know none of you want to be here right now, and you all were reluctant to even come along, with some of you having to be dragged here or persuaded. Even in your conditions, you have to act with the upmost attitude of the Arcane Council. We all already know your attitude to things like this, and this is why you've been assigned your roles here, and with your individual specialities, and being specialists in your own rights, even rivaling or surpassing elder magic users of several races you were perfect picks."

As the group of old people looking at their individual groups, and people they've picked, a woman in robes, hands clasped behind their back as they surveyed the room with a weary gaze, clearly apart of the older generation, despite being across you all is obviously, she pipes up.

"You lot will be, as the name suggests, the council of this country. You will be dealing with things stretching from criminals, to laws of the country, wars and even treaties from other countries and kingdoms. You may take breaks when needed."

She breathed a deep breath, the air was thick with hidden anticipation and the faint scent of crushed lavender, burning cedar and the old huge oak table the new generation sat upon, all of different statures, and species, with the only thing similar in the group is that their power was great.

After you all got the gist, the group of old magic users turned away, the huge wooden door slams shut, the sound reverberating through the large room, the runes carved into the surface of the walls glimmered in the flickering candles before they settled. The sounds of bored idle chatter rung through the room, you sat in one of the chairs next to many others.
