I never thought it was possible to be this happy. To have this incredible human who loves and adores me. Who brings light to my dull life. I never even thought it was possible for someone so broken like me to fall in love.

I met her in high school, she was dating my ice hockey rival. She was vibrant and gentle. I got closer and we became good friends. We realised that we were not a like in anyway but we still felt something for each other. We went to the same university and we stayed in touch.

Our first kiss was by a lake in the rain, we had been dancing in the rain and she kissed me. I never had been happier, we moved in together and we were inseparable. A year after we moved in together she gave birth to our baby girl. Who is now one years old, her name is Eleanor.

We were wrapping presents for Eleanor on Christmas, it was late and Eleanor was sleeping. I was focused on wrapping up the presents.

“Your a great dad, you know?” She told me

I smiled and she looked aroused

“What are you staring at me, tulip?” I said her nickname rolling off my tongue. She shook her head and smiled. Which made my heart skip a beat. She stood up and I watched as she walked over to me sitting on my lap. She kissed my neck.

“Tulip, the presents…” I said as I groaned

She smiled against my neck. I picked her up and set her on the floor.

“We need to finish wrapping the presents” I said

She pouted but continued to wrap Eleanors presents.

“I love you” i told her
