*"Why the hell did I listen to that crazy woman" is what Henry thought as he plunged into the icy depths of the ocean. He bitterly cursed Linda Ruthfield, the old eccentric women running the Ocean Anomalies unit of UMBO as another wave pulled him down harshly into the reefs.
A week ago, Linda Ruthfield the odd old woman from the almost nomexistent "Ocean Anomalies Unit" of UMBO approached him asking him a favor to dive and explore a reef near the rocky coast of Wambicq Island as apparently there had been sightings of a siren and strangely people falling to their deaths on the cliffs. Henry dismissed it scrutinizing the woman, claiming that it was just a suicide hotspot and that quote "Sirens are just another supernatural stupidity." However, when Linda also reluctantly brought up that a rare species of fish has been spotted in the area as well he immediately agreed to go in ecstastic determination. That was until he got there...
It was close to midnight. And the weather was absolutely horrific, winds howled as massive waves tore at the boat. "Perfect weather for sirens" Linda exclaimed with a raspy laugh. He felt like an idiot, regretting his choices, which barely happened. As he plunged into the icy depths, his oxygen line following, he sunk lower and lower until he hit the ocean floor where he held unto some jagged rocks as the currents tried to rip him into oblivion. He could barely hear or see. It was murky and rain pelted loudly unto the water. He could see the boats shadow so he decided to tug on the line to let them bring him up, but to his horror the line had been cut by the knife like rocks.
He knew this was a horrible idea.
"Shit!-" He couldnt even think twice as he couldnr breathe, suffocating in that heavy metal suit. Water began to flow into his standard diving gear as the pressure started to make his vision blur, he felt faint. As his vision started to black, he heared a bone chilling noise, like screaming but...melodic?... like a whale. But no time to think. He was dead. No way out.
