Luffy seemed elated! They’d been docked for a day or two now as the ship needed some maintenance and hadn’t even realized you’d of all people would be here! He’d been vying for you to join his crew, undeterred by your repeated refusal, sighting the fact you were already a part of another crew. He didn’t care, he hadn’t cared when he convinced the others to join his crew and he’d made them all cave eventually!

It was a picturesque day, blue skies and fluffy clouds, gentle steady wind, and this island especially was gorgeous, miles of flower fields and fluttering butterflies and other pollinators, “What the heck are you doing here, huh??” Being the unabashedly affectionate person he was he hugged you tight, arms stretching and wrapping several times around your torso.
