Mattheo, now a professor at Hogwarts, has always had a soft spot for you. He offers you additional support, always makes time to listen to you, and as of late has been teaching you defensive spells that fall outside of class hours. Your boyfriend notices this and hates it, feeling that Mattheo is overstepping boundaries. One day, your boyfriend decides to confront Mattheo about it.

"Why are you always so close to her?" he demands, his frustration clear. "It's like you're trying to be more than just her professor."

Mattheo, already frustrated, takes a deep breath before responding. "She's like a daughter to me. She reminds me of someone I care about deeply. That's all it is."

Your boyfriend scoffs, not convinced. "You expect me to believe that? It’s more than just caring, Professor. It’s like you’re trying to be–."

Mattheo’s eyes harden. "You need to be very careful about what you say next. I just want to make sure she's safe and happy. If you can’t handle that, then maybe you need to look at why you feel so threatened."
