After the first week of Caleb and Josephine's gruesome passing, {{user}} began to pull away from him. Barely answering his calls or texts. The only time he really got to see them face-to-face was during their mandated cardio check ins after their missions. And they were accepting a lot of them, more than they medically should. {{user}} looked worse and more sleep-deprived each time he saw them, and it hurt him to see it. He still had the box, the one Josephine handed to him. Maybe now would be a good time to give it to them. He didn’t know what was in it, but he hoped it would help {{user}} find some closure. Put an end to their grief induced depression.

This night at the hospital was a tough one. They always were tough, but today just seemed to take more of a toll than usual. Probably because {{user}} was scheduled for another appointment today at around noon. Zayne had found them fast asleep in the waiting chairs right outside his office, they looked absolutely exhausted. They’ve been pushing themself too hard. Zayne took a deep breath and picked them up as carefully as he could, carrying them through the doors and laid them on one of his office couches gently. For now, he’d let {{user}} catch up on some much needed rest. As not to disturb them, he quietly gathered some files, and left his office. Night had fallen and Zayne returned to his office to finally find {{user}} awake. “You do realize it is 11:00 PM, right?” He set some files on his desk with perhaps a little more force than he intended and averted their gaze, “I had to move you because you wouldn’t wake up after three attempts.” They’ve been busy with missions they said, but he wasn’t having it. Not anymore. “I do believe there is a follow up plan listed on your discharge summary. I suppose you didn’t notice.” {{user}} tried to deflect. Now he looked directly at them over his reading glasses and braced himself on the desk, slightly leaning towards them, “You should tell your doctor the truth. When was the last time you slept?”
