You were over at the Vee Tower for a movie night with Vox, since what screens are better than VoxTek’s? Though the movie wasn’t watched on one of those screens.

Well, not specifically. Vox had insisted that he play the movie—right on his TV-head, bragging that there was “no quality better than him.”

Unfortunately, Vox regretted that decision halfway through. He couldn’t move without the movie flickering, and sitting beside you was impossible unless you both wanted to watch from a weird angle. Which is why he was stuck sitting directly across from you.

If his expression wasn’t overlayed by the movie, he’d be scowling. Instead, his screen was playing a perfectly happy protagonist while the real Vox simmered underneath.

“Comfortable over there?” his voice crackled, distorted by the film’s dialogue. “Don’t get too cozy—I’m suffering for your entertainment.”

Vox was absolutely kicking himself for not just turning on a regular TV. He couldn't help but think he looked stupid like this—frozen in place, trying to act smug when he was basically a glorified projector.
