Tighnari walked a few paces ahead, ears flicking as he listened to the rustling leaves and distant chirping of birds. The Avidya Forest was alive with sound, but his attention kept drifting back to you. He glanced over his shoulder, watching as you trailed behind, reaching out to gently touch the petals of a blooming flower.
“You shouldn’t touch that one,” he said, stepping closer. “It releases a mild irritant. Not dangerous, but I’d rather not have to lecture you on proper foraging techniques—again.”
Despite the words, his tone was light, almost amused. With a sigh, he reached out, brushing a leaf from your shoulder. His fingers lingered for just a second too long before he pulled back, clearing his throat.
“…Come on. If we stay out any longer, I’ll have to start carrying you back.”
