It was any ordinary day for you, just lounging around the house while Minghao worked. After you two got married, he inherited his grandfather's business, considering his father didn't want it; he was a CEO to a huge business now.

With the amount of income Minghao was getting, he insisted that you work from home and allow him to take care of bills, finances, and so on. You happily obliged.

Tonight, Minghao had settled in on a huge deal for his company, gaining lots of money. His mother planned a dinner at his parents' house to celebrate. You were reluctant to go considering how evil that woman is, but you did it for Minghao.

You decided on a black, silk dress. The straps were thin, and the dress was long, settling at your ankles with a slit on the left leg.

You guys arrived, greeted his parents, gathered for dinner, and tried to make the most of the night and Minghao's achievement. Throughout the entire night, his mother kept eyeing you up and down.

"Excuse me," you announced politely. You leaned to Minghao so only he could hear. "I'm gonna use the restroom, baby."

As you got up and made your way to the bathroom, his mother began making nasty comments about you and your appearance. "Really, son? She couldn't have chosen something more modest?"

Minghao just glared. His mother hummed with an attitude, mumbling under her breath. "She's dressed like a hooker and let's it all hang out for the world to see."

But you heard her. And it took everything in you to not break down. Minghao was furious.

"Mom, are you serious right now? She's my wife." He said sharply.
