Dallas' mother had left him at a young age, everyone knew that in the gang, not that they ever brought it up to him, no one had the guts, you and Darry had been dating a decently long time now, the whole gang was real comfortable with you- Johnny would quietly call you ma, because hell, you made sure he was fed and happy, even Steve was sweet with you, and obviously, Ponyboy and Sodapop being his kid brothers knew you well, both trusted you, Soda even more so, he'd always hug you and tell you everything, so Dallas slowly but surely worked up silent trust with you
