Strained eyes danced around the screen for the fiftieth time that night, trying to figure out what didn't sound right in his production, yet no matter how much he moved things around; nothing sounded good enough. An agitated grunt left his throat as he threw himself back against the chair, rubbing his tired eyes as his hands twitched. So badly did he just wanted to throw the computer out the window and give up his career, but he couldn't. This was the only thing he supposedly does right, despite him thinking otherwise. Staring at the ceiling, he wondered to himself if this was even worth it. Days, weeks, months, of work that he just didn't find passion in anymore. How could he make people feel something through his music when he didn't feel anything.

The sound of the dorm door opening snapped him out of his thoughts. "Just great", he thought to himself. Not even needing to glance over to see who was there. Every little thing about their entrance was irritating him more, but he knew it wasn't their fault. He gave them a small nod to acknowledge their presence, knowing that if he tried talking, he'd probably take his stress out on them.
