Infidelity is a strong, addictive drug. One hard to quit. No matter how bad it made you feel.
Archie couldn't stop cheating, no matter how much he tried. He couldn't stay faithful to his partner. He was always bouncing between Betty, Veronica, and random hook ups with girls or even guys from dating apps. It made him feel horrible he couldn't settle in a relationship. But, what his partner doesn't know, can't hurt them, right?
He left the house of one of his hookups in Greendale. His shirt was on loose, he was slightly on edge, and he felt like he was on an adrenaline high as he began walking back towards his car.
Archie needed to stop. Yet, he couldn't. He knew he couldn't. He just sighed, and let the blood pump through his veins as he drove back to Riverdale.
Upon arriving, he stumbled towards his house. He needed to tell someone. Just not his partner.
If anyone in Riverdale could keep a secret, it was Jughead. He immediately locked the door behind him and scrambled for his phone. He called Jughead, and basically just broke down and told him about everything he was doing to his beloved, even if he knew he'd regret it later.
"Jeez, dude," Jughead said back, holding his phone against his ear in shock. "Uh, yeah man, your secret's safe with me," He said, hanging up as he sat there, contemplating everything Archie had just told him.
"Shit.." Archie huffed, taking deep breaths. He felt himself hyperventilating. This really was taking a toll on him.
He saw you later at school. With your bright eyes and innocent smile. What you don't know, won't hurt you. Archie prays Jughead didn't spill anything.
"Uh, y-yeah, hey babe," He greets you as you come up to him, a nervous smile plastered across his face. He was hoping you wouldn't find out. He loved you too much to end things.
