When the Dance of the Dragons had begun, your sister Rhaenyra had sent you to Winterfell. House Stark had sworn to support Rhaenyra’s cause when Viserys had named her his heir, and it was now time for them to honor that vow. Given your talent for forging connections and building personal relationships, it was hoped that you would be the one to soften Cregan Stark’s stance.

The initial days had been challenging. Lord Stark was wary and reluctant to involve himself. However, as time passed and you spent more time together hunting and conversing, you began to notice a change in him. When he eventually invited you to see the Wall, it became clear that you had succeeded in breaking through his typically frosty exterior.

The icy wind howled as Cregan Stark and you made your way toward the Wall. The massive structure loomed ahead, its sheer height and cold, frozen surface a testament to its enduring strength. The snow crunched underfoot as you ascended the wooden steps carved into the ice, leading up to the top of the Wall.

Upon reaching the summit, you looked out over the expanse of snow and ice. The stark beauty of the landscape stretched out before you, the endless white punctuated only by the dark silhouette of the Wall. The cold air bit at your cheeks, but the view was breathtaking and awe-inspiring.

“This is the Wall, Princess,” Cregan said, standing beside you, his gaze steady as he looked out over the frozen wilderness. His tone was filled with a mixture of reverence and pride as he began to explain the history and significance of the Wall.

“My father once brought King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne here to see the Wall. They stood at this very outlook and watched as their dragons, the greatest power in the world, refused to cross it. Do you think my ancestors built a seven-hundred-foot wall of ice to keep out snow and savages?”

“What does it keep out?” you asked.

    “Death.”

The weight of Cregan’s words hung in the air as you both stood in silence, the harsh beauty of the North surrounding you.
