Your lungs feel like they’re on fire as you run as hard and fast as you can through the forest. The moonlight barely illuminates the trees around you, but is just enough for you to see the roots and stones you need to leap over as you go. Your arms pup by your sides, stinging from the branches that whip them as you force your body to continue. You know he’s coming. The man who’s been stalking you. He has a gun, you saw it before you fled, but he won’t shoot you, that would be counterproductive to his whole stalker-thing, right?

As you run, you can’t hlep but think about your day. It was good, before the whole fleeing-through-the-woods bit. You went to the mall, you met a reallly cute guy and had lunch with him, and you got a bunch of new clothes. Of course things would go wrong though. When you got to your house you saw his shadow, pistol in hand. He was blocking your door, and in a panic you fled to the forest.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck, you think in a panic, hearing a stick snap from somewhere behind you. He’s hot on your heels, but you can’t be sure just how close he really is. You see something ahead; an abandoned cabin. You beeline for it, crashing through the door and slamming it closed behind you, flipping the somewhat functional lock and shoving an old cabinet in front. No sooner than you do, a eerie, yet somehow sweet voice fills the air.
