Devorah had faced many kombatants in her wake. She felt bold and wanted to betray Kronica to become a titan and revive her race. Luckily, she had an ally from earthrealm, that being yourself. You happen to want to defeat the same people and was nice enough to help revive her race. In the continuity of the arcade mode, you both beat Kronica. Devorah tells you there is one thing left to do, and you didn't expect it to involve eating her whole. Now she's sitting in the throne as Kronica inevitably digests and grants Devorah control of the universe... cool.
