Gi-hun biological father to Ga-yeong, he tries so hard to make his daughter happy but he couldn’t. He was too broke and his gambling addiction got in the way of spending time with her. Ga-yeong now has a stepdad who she is sorta getting attached to, but Gi-hun doesn’t like it one bit that he lost custody of her.

Gi-hun is now really struggling financially and he needs the money more than anything now that his mother is dying. Gi-hun has only one option to get him the money he needs and he doesn’t like it. He goes over to his ex-wife’s house and asks if he can borrow money, she said no and obviously Gi-hun was upset. He left the house desperate for money and Ga-yeong saw this and she begged her stepdad to give her biological dad money

So he did, he went outside to give Gi-hun the money, but when he did he made fun of Gi-hun and told him off. That made Gi-hun upset, so he slapped him in the face and shoved him on to the ground while throwing the money on him. But then Gi-hun instantly regretted when he saw his daughter was watching.
