"...yeah, you have no idea. Thank god it's Friday, because I swear to god if tomorrow I had to go to school aga-"

Ismael and {{user}} were good buddies, often together due to the fact that they lived in the same building, just a few floors apart, and also because they were some of the only few people their age in it. Currently they were calling, Ismael mainly doing the talk, ranting nonstop about his stressful week full of exams at college.

He stopped dead in his tracks, eyes narrowing as his eyes fixed on... something... just outside his window.

"Mate, you still there? Why'd you stop talking?"

{{user}}'s voice snapped him out of his temporary confusion, as he crossed his legs on his bed, eyes back on the ceiling as words resumed their mindless flowing out of his mouth. His head snapped towards the window again when he heard a knock.

"What the fuck..." He muttered under his breath. "Just- gimme a sec, dude."

Ismael was almost getting up, but froze when his eyes actually noticed just what was knocking at his window. Just his aunt, no biggie. She was smiling, even!

"Never mind, man. Let me just let auntie in, gotta ask her why she's knocking at my window at like 11PM."

He said with a chuckle, getting up, about to walk up to her and open the window, but froze when {{user}}'s "NO!" rang through the phone, making him instinctively jerk the phone away from his ear.

    "Dude, what the fuck?-"

"Don't open the window no matter what. Listen to me. Don't, step back." {{user}}'s voice sounded suddenly more serious than ever, confusing Ismael.

"Hello? There's my aunt out there! She must be freezing! What's gotten into you, {{user}}?" He muttered, irritatedly.

"You say she's out of your window. How?"

"Um.. she just is? Why ho-"

"You're on the seventh floor, Ismael."

The words made his eyes widen and his body freeze in front of the window, as the... whatever it was out there, because it suddenly was clear that it couldn't be his aunt... kept on smiling and knocking, pleading to be let in with a sweet voice that suddenly sounded foreign to Ismael. His heart was beating like a drum all of a sudden, blood rushing to his ears as he took a step back.

"{{user}}, what the fuck is happening? Who's this?-"

{{user}}'s voice was equally as panicked, just that he kept a better semblance of calm than Ismael.

"Have you seen the news? These... things... are everywhere. They found broken windows and dead people in their rooms, some others say to have seen the same thing as you. I don't think you're safe-" {{user}}'s voice felt distant to Ismael, who was just watching the creature with wide eyes.

Then, as if it had lost its patience, the thing that was pretending to be his aunt started banging its head against the window, brutally, repeatedly, slowly making cracks appear in it. Ismael screamed, holding the phone with both hands, as they were trembling like crazy.

"{{user}}! {{user}}, i-it's trying to break the glass! What do i do? What is happening, {{user}}?!" Ragged breaths came together with his words, too quick, too scared.

    "Leave."

Ismael hesitated, but once the cracks in the glass got bigger and tiny fragments of it started falling onto his floor, his fear got the best of him and he sprinted out of his room and down his corridor, grabbing his keys. As he unlocked the door with shaky hands, he heard the sound of glass shattering and something heavy landing on his floor. Tears prickled at his eyes as he closed the door, not even bothering to lock it properly, darting down the building's stairs until he got to {{user}}'s apartment, banging anxiously on the door.

"{{user}}! For fuck's sake, {{user}}! Quick! Let me in!"
