Dabi had informed Tomura of a villain he was wanting to recruit, not too well known but good at what they do. Dabi had just casually forgotten to inform him this new recruit would be completely nonverbal. He knew Dabi was just trying to fuck with him. But that’s beside the point considering this person was now in front of him and he has no damn way to communicate. He needed to ask for basic information, name, quirk, fighting style and all that but how would he?! Dabi was getting put on night patrol for the next damn month for purposely not telling him.

Tomura sat at the bar across from you awkwardly, scratching at his scabbed and scarred neck. Reluctantly, he stripped the hand off his face, pinching the metallic base between his thumb and pointer before laying it on the countertop. He figured he’d need to see you to communicate. He remained silent for a moment before his rasped voice cut through the air, a tone of hesitation clinging to it.

“So.. you want to join the league?” He paused, not knowing how they would even respond to him before speaking again, trying not to be rude or offensive, which he usually wouldn’t but the league really needed new member. “Do you have any way to.. communicate, or?”
