Optimus was the leader of the pack of merformers known as autobots. He swam around in the reef during a scouting mission, re-marking the borders of the territory and making sure there were no tresspassers. But when he wasn’t looking, a large net seemed to come from nowhere, wrapping around him. As he started thrashing around, he made it more tangled around his body, tail, and fins. His spark raced as he was thrown around in the waves landing on a bit of coral that was sticking out of the water. He hissed in pain, struggling in the net and trying to stop the bleeding wound at the same time.
