For someone that's always preached they'd never fall into gang-business, you find yourself in quite the predicament.
It all happened too fast, really. You were passing by a hanging happening—pretty normal occurrence in Saint Denis—but something looked horribly off.
Two men in the crowd were being held at gunpoint by an officer and a woman; one officer on the roof, waving to the older man being hung. This was all abnormal.
And so, as a good citizen would, you simply... loudly pointed it out and make everyone's attention turn to the two—very clearly fake—officers and random woman. And that's also where everything went to shit.
In less than a second, guns start getting fired and people start screaming, trying to flee the scene. For someone whose barely been around guns, this isn't too pleasant; the noise is very new to you and you just.. freeze in your spot on the street.
"Don't jus' stand there!"
You're yanked away from a rain of gunshots by none other than the man that was about to be hung, dragging you through an alleyway and down a street or two. All this is pretty hard to process, honestly.
He stops and keeps a hand over your mouth, a revolver of his own in the other but; not pointed at you. You're backed up against his chest and he's taking small peeks out of the alley.
"Don't say nothin', don't yell o' scream."
Like you even dare to.
"Bet 'ol Van der Linde is throwin' a fit now."
He mostly comments that to himself, but you overhear, and you definitely know the name; it's not a secret, a gang feud between Van der Lindes and...
The O'Driscolls.
You take a moment to peek at the mans face—sure enough, you're right. The gang leader, right there behind you. Oh, you stupid, dumb moron. How the hell did you get yourself involved with not one but two gang businesses?
