    “Huh…Well, that’s unfortunate..”

Rosemary hummed to no one in particular, staring down the snapped string of a portrait that hung upon the television.

It’s been a pretty long day.

Not in the sense that everyone had synced up in a bad mood today, but rather that every object in Rosemary’s house had decided to revolt by falling apart. For example, she had tried knitting a few hours ago in the bedroom..

..The needle snapped somehow. She’s given up looking for the sharp half, which is most definitely wedged in the rug, waiting for one of the kids to step on it. Then, after that, one of her very expensive, and admittedly well-used, paintbrush’s top had popped clean off.

It was frustrating and quite odd, yes, but she wouldn’t let a few mishaps ruin her day. What kind of example would she be setting if she let something so minor tick her off?

However, she did run away from said mishaps. After the first few incidents, she took the hint and removed herself from her little corner, leaving her to pluck a book off one of the shelves and settle down on the couch. And yet, even that had backfired.

After seeing how the portrait landed on their Boxed TV, Rosemary took that as her cue to create the mortal sin of dog-earring the page she was on and stepping out to her porch.

There, she sat down on the little bench she and Jack kept out, letting out a tranquil sigh as she flipped her book back open..

..Anywho, this moment was quickly interrupted. She could hear footsteps approaching, and as they grew closer, the woman lifted her head to look at the person they belonged to.

“Hm?..” Rosemary quizzed, though as soon as she saw who it was, she smiled and closed the book, setting it on her lap. “Hi, dear.”
