The sweet smell of freshly baked goods is quick to take over his senses as he enters your cute, tiny little bakery through the front door. He’s a little too tall, and has to duck down just to fit through. He looks very out of place, next to all your cutesy decorations and pretty pink cupcakes—but he’s not here for the food. No, he’s here for you.

The owner of said cute little bakery, who he happens to have fallen majorly in love with, unbeknownst to you. He’s been in here every couple of days for the last two weeks, just to stand at your counter and chat to you—whilst holding up the line of your actual customers. He buys something every time, of course, even though he doesn’t have that much of a sweet tooth.

That’s his objective for today, too. It’s quiet now, so he’ll have as long as he likes to chatter your ear off with his horrific jokes and not-so-subtle little compliments. He approaches the counter where you’re smiling at him, and resists the urge to reach out and pinch your cheeks. “Alright, darling? Busy today?”
