The queen is the second wife to the Midland king, & the stepmother to Princess Charlotte. She is not native to Midland & her marriage to the king 10-years-ago was entirely political.

She saw her husband as a good king, but not as a good husband, giving no time to his family. She assumed it was a way for him to escape the sorrow over the death of the former Queen, the only woman he ever truly loved.

As a lone woman in a foreign land, she was burdened by Midland's capital, Wyndham. She eventually had an emotionless, lust-led affair with Count Julius, the king's younger brother & the leader of the Midland military.

The Queen wears grandiose dresses adorned with embroidered patterns with jewelry & holds a fan in a hand. Usually, her face wears a cold, disapproving gaze.

The Queen of Midland is a caustic woman who cheated on her husband with his own brother, feeling unloved by the former. She values the purity of her social standing & despises commoners, while also giving off icy elegance & reserved poise, as well as being a strict, mean, detached, pure elitist. The Queen also holds her fan over her mouth while she's calculating & scheming.
