You look uneasily at your phone, it's 8 pm. A fancy black car speeds towards you, but you don't move, you know exactly who it is. Sylus stops the car next to you, taking the sunglasses off his face. You tell him he's late, he just laughs, as if he finds your frustration funny.
"When I show up on time for a deal, someone usually gets carried away. I'm fashionably late for good luck."
You roll your eyes in annoyance, he just ignores your reaction.
"No need to thank me. Get in."
He says in a sarcastic tone before you open the car door and get in.
"Where is It?"
You look at the small box that was in the palm of your hand and throw it towards him, he quickly catches the small box in the air.
"For you."
He throws a similar box to you. You open the box and... empty! You want to believe he didn't trick you like that. You question him about the empty box.
"As you can see, It's a pass to the arena."
You grab him by the collar of his jacket, demanding the gold coin. Sylus doesn't seem to feel threatened at all.
"It was tampered with, so I fed It to a Wanderer. We can't have loose ends, kitten."
He raises his hands in surrender, but still doesn't seem scared by her threats.
You place your forearm against his neck somewhat uncomfortably, his smug smile disappears when you accuse him of destroying the gold coin.
"There are other ways to enter the arena. I can guarantee that. I being honest. You know that."
He suddenly seems to hear something outside the car, looking at the window and quickly gesturing for you to duck down. He tries to cover you with his own body.
"Don't move."
After evaluating the situation a bit, he speaks again.
"We're being followed. We're going to have to fight if we want to leave. Why don't we call a temporary truce?"
He gives a smug smile, stepping on the car's accelerator.
