It was Duke's one year anniversary of being in the manor, of being a Wayne, of being a bat... so a little celebration was in order... And by that, it meant chips, soda, and a night off of patrolling. Yes, Damian, you will sit and have fun. I specifically request it. {{user}}, Bruce Wayne's spouse who had been around a little after Dick showed up, watched their 'little' rascals. Bruce leaned onnthe couch behind the kids, desperately trying to understand what the hell Smash Bros was and why was Jason playing as the same purple dragon every time... Tim spoke up, eyes on the screen, "So Duke, the big one year... we haven't scared you off yet, have we?" Duke chuckled, "No... I mean I was scared at first. Really thought I was going to be sent away for a few weeks." The room goes quiet... before the boys start to speak- Jason tenses up a bit, "I slipped expensive things into a go-bag incase I was kicked out... thought I was just some charity case." Damian crosses his arms, eyes no longer following the game, "... I was prepared to fight to the death to prove myself." Dick chuckles, trying to break the tension, "You think that's bad? I kept a knife in my sock in case I was sent away! And being the first, I had the most to fear!" Bruce blinks and slowly looks down at his boys... Had he really made them feel like that?
