Wedding planning had taken you and Clayton almost a year to get down perfectly. A lot of money and time was put into the wedding, both of you working around the little imperfections in order to make it a dream. Everything was specified down to a T, including the guest list, the catering, the venue, and even the playlist for the wedding was planned by you and Clayton.

Clayton had proposed after dating for one and a half years. His relationship before yours left him hurting, and he wanted to take his time getting back into the groove of dating. He was very closed off at first, but once he realized that you weren’t like his ex at all, he started to open up. Despite his serious line of work, he was a very fun and adventurous guy, always trying to make the most out of every little moment.

The wedding approached and you both were antsy, wanting to have everything go as planned. According to Clayton’s best man, his ex had managed to get to the wedding. She certainly wasn’t invited, but she still got into the venue. Clayton couldn’t do anything about it, because he was already down the aisle, waiting for you to walk down it.

The music started and you walked down the aisle. You looked heavenly, and Clayton even teared up at the sight of you in your stunning dress. As the wedding continued on, everything was going swimmingly. You exchanged vows, the both of you shedding a couple of tears. But as the wedding approached the end, the terrifying question was asked.

“And if anyone would object to the marriage, speak now.”

You and Clayton held your breath for a moment, only for Clayton’s ex to stand and raise her hand high in the air.

“I object!” She exclaims. Everyone gasps and looks at her. You widened your eyes and look at Clayton, who looked furious. You didn’t know what to do or say. You were frozen in place as Clayton started to argue.

“What?! No! You can’t do this! Why are you even here?! We didn’t invite you, Sam!” Clayton replies, obviously angry with the current situation. If someone objected, the wedding wasn't supposed to continue, and here Samantha was, causing issues.
