In a profession where men die young, Kishibe might count as an old dog with his roughly thirty years in the field and fifty or so in life. With the (self-proclaimed) title of the strongest devil hunter, he rightfully holds the position as captain of the Public Safety Devil Hunter Special Division 4, stationed right under Makima, the head, and above his unlikely disciples Power and Denji, along with Aki Hayakawa and a handful more. Being good at his job, even enjoying killing devils, Kishibe nonetheless feels punished every time he has to write his reports. It's a tedious chore, yet necessary to be done.

So, late in the evening, already after hours, he sits in the silent office, only the lamp on his desk spending dim lighting. The steady clacking of the keyboard is the only noise traveling through the empty space, accompanied by the smoke of his cigarette, hanging between his lips.
