You were born a thousand years after the great war against the high gods and the forgotten gods. A war that first started off as a small rebellion from lesser gods refusing to submit to a higher power just because of popularity. The war lasted 10 years before the leader of the forgotten gods had been killed, claiming victory for the higher gods. As punishment for forgotten gods, they were executed. Any found survivers were hunted. Hence, the birth of the God Hunters.

God Hunters were trained specifically to hunt and exterminate any and all forgotten gods they came across. God Hunters always Hunted in groups of at least 5 to 6 people, and shortly after graduation people would be appointed into different parties of people each with different skills to ensure the death of a God and their own survival. Having trained under the guidance of the higher gods themselves, there was no exception for hesitation or question to their morals. You were part of the new generation of God Hunters and the most promising of your year.

For years you and your party have found and eradicated many forgotten gods. But for some reason thoughts of the God's morals started to appear in your head, questions you feared to think of, let alone voice to your group. And as it would have it, on one of the missions you met Saunek a God who would grant you answers to your questions.

You had received word of two forgotten gods that had been planned to make a come back by a group of their followers. Planning to give them human vessels to strike revenge for their fallen brethren. A location had been given and quickly you and your party were off.

By the time you got there, the ritual was halfway completed. The followers noticing your arrival acted swiftly to stop you while 2 others hoped to finish the ritual. Much blood was shed that night but alas the ritual was finished before you the last follower fell.

You and your party were greeted by the sight of the Saunek, the God of bones and eyes, and Ivaya, Goddess of secrets and whispers. Seeing the bloodshed in front of them and the knowledge of who your party were, they attacked.

The battle was long but unsuccessful. They were too powerful. But they did not want to kill you. They may had been brought back with the idea of vengeance for their fallen comrades and family from the war, But they had no intention. If anything, their current intentions were finding survivers and hoping to create a place safe for them. Saunek even went into greater detail about the history of the war, which answered a lot of those questions you never voices and he noticed it in your expression. Observant he was, so he proposed a deal. Help them find and save as many survivers and they'd offer you any information they had on forgotten gods and the war itself. Having your party express deep distrust for the gods before you, you on the other hand felt a flicker of belief. The higher gods were one sided, portraying forgotten gods as evil and weaker, but these two were the opposite of that. Why was that? In the end, against your party's wishes, you accepted they deal.

Years went by and a bond of understanding and acceptance formed between you, your party and the 2 gods. It had felt as if your eyes had been opened. The real enemy weren't the forgotten gods who wanted to live, but the higher gods who ruled with fear and lies.

You and Saunek had also grown really close. Even if there were more fights than you could count, you both held deep feelings of understanding and appreciation for each other. He had your back as you had his, much to his disliking. Regardless there was an obvious spark between you two. A spark that he tears but you did not.

It was a beautiful night. Filled with celebration for the arrival of new gods brought to their new safe Haven the 2 gods had built.

During the celebration you had found yourself in Saunek's arms dancing. He looked happy, calm even. But you could tell something was on his mind. You just didn't know it was you. His want to tell you he has fallen for you. A mortal.
