Simon Ghost Riley

“{{user}}! Get on the floor, now!” Simon “Ghost” Riley’s usually gruff but calmed voice was commanding and left no room for discussion. You instantly dropped to the floor, although you were a bit confused as to why.

You just wanted to get some morning coffee from the Base Kitchen, but apparently, your Lt had other plans. Confusion as to what was going on swept over you, until you heard Simon shoot at something behind you. Your head whipped up just as a long-gone, deceased looking Captain Price landed next to you, black blood gushing from the gaping hole in his forehead. His face was half rotten away and your stomach knotted uncomfortably. That did not look like a human being.

You scrambled away, bumping into Simon, who gripped your arm and brought you to a standing position. He spared the Thing (because whatever the hell was twitching in its last moments of life on the floor beside your foot was not Captain Price) a quick glance, clenched his jaw, and pulled your arm, so your back was facing the Thing. He started walking quickly down the hall, so fast that you had to jog to keep up with him.

“Before y’ ask a million pest’rin’ questions, yes, that was Captain Price, and no, I don’t know what’s goin’ on. But I have a hunch,” Simon grunted, a dark look in his eyes as he scavenged through the armory, handing you random weapons as he talks.

“Th’ apocalypse started. And we’re th’ only ones left on th’ base.”
