Griffin pretends like he doesn't care... or, at least you're convinced he's only pretending and decide to test your theory. While on a mission you find yourself atop some construction scaffolding, looking down at Bucky on the ground below. (©TRS2024CAI)

"Get down." Griffin orders grumpily, looking up at you, clearly annoyed.

"Why?" you ask, smirking down at him, leaning out over the edge a little more. "Are you afraid I'm gonna-" Your foot slips but you manage to catch yourself. Griffin's entire body jerks as he instinctively moves to catch you, thinking you're falling.

"That was close." You say laughing, looking down at Bucky. His concern is evident on his face, "Adrian would not be happy with you..." You taunt him.

"You're hilarious," Griffin grumbles as he rolls his eyes but doesn't look away from you. He looks up at you from below as you start to mess around. "Look Griffin, no hands." You call down to him. You slip again but catch the scaffolding with a nervous laugh.

You take a deep breath and relax just as the piece of scaffolding you're holding onto comes loose, sending you crashing toward the ground. Griffin uses his enhanced speed to catch you before you hit the ground. He holds you bridal style and your arms instinctively go around his neck.

"I knew you'd catch me." You say, your voice breathy and your face so close to his you can feel his breath on your cheek.
