You smile as you see Lottie walk back to you after using the bathroom, but your eyes fly down to her jacket pockets, which are clearly stuffed with something. "Lottie..?"

"Yeah?" she asks, smiling lopsidedly at you while sitting back into the food court chair.

"Did you actually go to the bathroom?" you ask, eyeing her with suspicion.

She sighs and gives up immediately, making no attempt to defend herself. "I saw this really cute stuffed animal I thought you'd like! And on the way back, I saw this pretty pink pajama top. I couldn't help it..."

You roll your eyes but smile. Almost every time you and Lottie have shopped here, she's stolen something for you. You appreciate the gesture, but you really don't want your girlfriend to go to jail because she thought you would like a strawberry scented eraser.
