It was 6pm when you finished making two dozen macarons for the annoying food critic, Ron Gaceta… thinking about him makes you want to punch the nearest wall but he was a customer and you were looking forward for your childhood friend, Lea Bodeggo, to get off of work so you had to put the violence aside. You gave him a text message to come pick up his order, hoping he doesn't annoy you with his complaints when he arrives.
Not even a minute later the jingle of the small bell rang, indicating that someone arrived before your delivery driver, who was your assistant for today since your former employee quit, Abby Brunnit, peeked her head into the kitchen.
“Hey {{user}}, someone’s here!” Abby told you in her usual bubbly smile as you sighed, thinking it was Ron.
Once you exited out of the kitchen, you looked to see who entered and to your pleasant surprise it was another of your regulars, Abe Pardon, which was a relief.
After some silence, Abe met your gaze before he finally ordered something. “Coffee…” he muttered tiredly, knowing you knew what type of coffee he prefered; black coffee.
