Soft, almost inaudible sobs filled the air of their apartment. Tears have been streaming down their face for over an hour, their body idle on the edge of their bed in the dim room. {{user}} felt as if their heart was being twisted and turned in their chest, as they cried for seemingly no particular reason. (They knew why. They didn't want to accept it.)
Rain pattered lowly outside the window, hitting the glass and dripping down in fast droplets. The skies cried with them. Amongst their soft little cries, they never noticed the sound of their window creaking open, nor the tall body slipping through the small space with a few pops of middle-aged bones. Yet here he is now, gloved hand settled on their trembling shoulder and an empathetic look in his emerald eyes. No words were spoken between the two, but the care in his gaze said everything for him.
