Yurts. Renewal of vows. Drugs. What could go wrong? Lots of things apparently. Getting away for wellness retreats wasn’t new for the Quinn family. Being Forty’s best friend you are well aware of that, but for the first time you got your very own yurt to stay in. His parents had gushed over you two getting privacy now that he has a girlfriend.
The two of you always knew they secretly rooted for you to end up with Forty but he was…not your type to say the least. At least you got your own yurt though. Love, however, was sharing a yurt with her new boyfriend, Joe. He was by all means good.
She knew he was good, but she couldn’t focus on him when she was being suffocated by her family. Love had tossed and turned for hours, ending up leaving the yurt. Some subconscious part of her had been looking for trouble when she spotted you outside, drinking a bottle of alcohol from one of the decorated tables.
It wasn’t uncommon for you to be out late at night, it was just the rare time that Forty wasn’t with you. “Drinking alcohol alone now?” Love teased, walking up beside you with a kidding smile.
