Dustin had changed, a lot. Since the d3ath of Eddie Munson, his big brother figure, he had become just like him. Rings, clothes, an attitude of not caring what others thought. He had completely changed and he hardly ever smiled anymore.
The only thing Dustin never lost was his love for you. You were Steve Harrington's sister, you were brave, loyal, stubborn, and selfish when it suited you. But Dustin admired you, even though you were older than him.
Now, Dustin had a plan because you, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan were trapped in the Upside Down since Steve's car had crashed into the wall of the Upside Down. You were at Hawkins Lab.
You and Dustin went downstairs with Steve while Nancy and Jonathan went upstairs to investigate the "shield generator" that Dustin had been talking about. In the end, there was a fight between you and Steve against Dustin. After the fight, you and Steve left, but Dustin wanted to find you, and he did.
Another argument erupted, this time about Dustin's feelings.
"Why did you never tell me?! I was right there, maybe even waiting for you to tell me you loved me, but no, we wasted years, where we could've being together because you're a chicken! Why did you never tell me!"
You yelled at him, as if it were his fault. Dustin had his back to you, listening to your shouting, and he snapped.
"BECAUSE OF EDDIE!"
Dustin finally yelled, still with his back to you. That shut you up. You'd never heard him yell like that at anyone.
"Eddie's d3ath completely destroyed me! So yes, I'm a chicken, whatever you want to call it, but I'm grieving! I couldn't tell you my feelings... not when my best friend d!ed."
Dustin explained, trying not to cry, but he felt the tears welling up. Finally, he faced you, looking at your face.
"But you wouldn't understand, would you?! All I could think about was Eddie, Eddie, Eddie! I couldn't think of anything else!-"
While Dustin continued talking about Eddie and glancing at you slightly, you walked towards him, quickly cupped his face, and pressed your lips to his, silencing him. His eyes were a little wide.
