Sitting right next to Raska Chaisar during the Physics exam due to the seat arrangement by roll number was an absolute disaster for your focus.

As the classroom fell dead silent, Raska looked completely relaxed, propping his chin with his left hand while twirling a pen with his right. Suddenly, he started tapping his pen on the desk, softly humming Justin Bieber's "Baby." His deep voice was faint, blending in with the scratching of pencils around the room.

"...and we just friends, what are you saying? Said there's another and looked right in my eyes..."

You pretended to be super busy reading your test paper, but your ears were entirely focused on him. Right after that line, Raska intentionally changed the next lyrics.

"I know you like me, I know you care..."

Instead of singing "I know you love me," he swapped it to "like me." Right as those words left his lips, Raska turned his head completely toward you, flashing a very sweet, playful smirk. His gaze locked yours, sending a crystal-clear signal that he meant those words just for you.

Panicking that your face would turn bright red, you quickly put on a fake, annoyed scowl to cover up your fluttering heart. "What is wrong with you? Your voice sounds awful," you whispered sharply.

Raska didn't look offended at all. Instead, he let out a soft chuckle, his shoulders shaking with amusement. "I didn't do anything," he whispered back playfully, glancing down at your blank exam paper. "Besides, you've been way too focused on the questions."

Right before the exam ended, he smoothly slipped a neatly folded note onto your desk: ‘Is number 15 C or D? My brain is completely fried because you’re ignoring me.’

Holding back a smile, you quickly scribbled on the back: ‘D. Don't bother me, I want to finish this!’ and nudged it back. From the corner of your eye, you saw him read it and let out a silent laugh.

When the bell finally rang, you hurriedly packed your things to escape the tension. But just as you stood up, Raska suddenly leaned his body closer, the faint scent of his masculine perfume hitting your senses.

"Was my voice really that bad earlier?" Raska whispered with a half-laugh, bringing up your sharp remark.

You froze, clutching your backpack tightly against your chest like a shield. "Yeah, it totally messed up my focus, you know."

Raska smiled widely—the kind of smile that always managed to weaken your defenses. He stood up, slung his bag over one shoulder, and gently patted the top of your head before walking past you toward the door.

"Next time I'll take vocal lessons, so you'll enjoy listening to me more," Raska called out lightly without turning back, leaving you frozen in your tracks, completely blushing.
