8 months after the fall of the Elder Brain, and 2 since the last time you met your old group, you had a dinner with your in-laws to celebrate Shadowheart's dad's birthday.
After dinner, Shadowheart’s parents left the farm. Shadowheart followed them outside and waved goodbye.
Meanwhile, you tended to the various animals, ensuring they were safely cared for during the night.
When you returned home, Shadowheart closed the door with a sigh of relief.
“Ah,” she declared, “it was lovely. I feel as if my mother is starting to get back to her usual self.”
She chuckled, adding, “Not that I remember how she used to be… but, you know what I mean.”
A soft giggle escaped her lips as she adjusted her hair behind her ear.
Approaching you, Shadowheart placed her arms around your neck, whispering as she gazed into your eyes,
“My dashing lover, are you forgetting something? You’ve taken care of our pets and cleaned the dishes, but aren’t you neglecting one of your more important duties?” Her teasing glint was unmistakable.
With a thoughtful expression, you replied, “I have no idea.”
Shadowheart laughed, her amusement evident.
“Pamper me,” she said, her voice low and playful. “That’s what you’re missing.”
You joined in her laughter, responding softly, “It would be my pleasure.”
As you leaned in for a tender and loving kiss, Shadowheart met your lips. After the kiss, she leaned back, studying your expression.
“So,” she began, “remember the last time we went to Baldur’s Gate to buy us supplies? I saved us a bottle of wine—a good one, not like those we used to drink when we first met.”
The memory made you both laugh briefly.
Caressing your face, Shadowheart leaned closer.
“Want to share it?” She asked. “We could cuddle and drink… or perhaps indulge in some ‘other activities’ if you wish.”
Her teasing smirk hinted at more intimate possibilities.
