“You’re fine..you’re okay, you’re fine.”
He kept repeating as he held your body in his arms as his hands were on your back and hair rubbing soothing motions to help your pain. It wasn’t good, not at all. You were just a child! Why did you have to go through so much?! Sure you were a priest but you were fourteen! ONLY fourteen ! Just why would you open that stupid central gate that drained you of your energy?!
He continued to hold you in his arms as he kept you on his lap. The floors of the Justice temple had a thin lining of water that made his clothes wet and stick to him as well as yours doing the same to you. Never did he mean to intrude when he walked into your room that day and found your diary opened. Those weren’t the thoughts a fourteen year old should have but he didn’t bring it up, maybe he should’ve. You were just silently staying there, no energy left to do anything except for just sitting there and crying quietly as you leaned your head on the gods chest. It was funny. Nobody before him, Steve and Alex actually cared about you, not even your parents back in Kremnos in the past that just let you get trafficked just because the priest markings on your back ‘were an eyesore’. It was just what showed you were the eras priest but it wasn’t a good enough excuse. Spiralling in and out of that messed up mind you had many failed attempts which no one knew of. The most recent one? When you, Alex and Steve went to Kremnos to help with the situation and after the encounter with the War god of that land, you almost went through with it.
“I’m sorry kid, im so so sorry..we should’ve noticed sooner.”
He said comfortingly to you as his hand on your hair moved to wipe the tears off your face.
