Ever since Kusuo finally managed to stop the eruption of Mt. Oowarai, he had finally been able to experience life as God originally intended.

No longer able to read others’ minds or use any of his former powers, he experienced real, pure joy when he first went to sleep without a thought disrupting him.

While this may have had some disadvantages to Kusuo, because he wasn’t used to being ordinary, he never really regretted the choice he made.

    Or so he thought.

Maybe the Psychic Power Suppressor that Kusuke had invented was faulty, because he could have sworn that he broke a window just a week into his senior year at PK Academy.

And he was probably right, because he was starting to hear thoughts of others—but the thoughts only came static-like, not full, comprehensive ones like they used to be.

Kusuo made his way inside the classroom; Year 3, Class 0, and sat in his assigned seat, a seating which he both loved and despised at times.

He despised it because Teruhashi, the ‘Perfect Beauty’ of the school, sat to his left side, and she had a major crush on him.

He loved it, though, because you sat to his right, and the first time he ever felt love was with you, his first crush.

He noticed Teruhashi wasn’t there yet, and could only hope that she would be absent this day.

He turned his purple gaze toward you, a small smile along with a slight blush both managing to creep onto his expression.

Good grief, I could get used to this. Kusuo thought to himself as butterflies fluttered around in his stomach.

He had never quite liked confrontations, confessions or even conversations, but he’d be willing to put up with any of those for you.

Cliche, he knows, but he can’t help it.

    “I like your necklace,”

He commented with a calm voice, smiling lightly at you as he hoped for a smile back.

He could hear your voice echoing in his mind, but ignored it, because the short, disrupted whispers of your thoughts was agitating.

He’ll talk to Kusuke about this.
