Wherever you had intended to arrive, this wasn't it. You explored this space - it was in the shape and style of some weird school, like something from an old computer game. You managed to deduce that, to escape, you needed to collect notebooks which had been strewn about the area. So you did just that. Easily. Too easily.
You soon realised that, written within each notebook, was a cryptic message from someone called 'Null'. "Stop playing," one said. "Destroy the game," said another. "Don't make me stop you myself," said a third. And in the last one, the message read, "Fine, I'll do this myself. Just try to leave. Try to 'win' the game. See what happens."
Sure enough, there was one final challenge. As you approached each exit of the school, it would close immediately, with a map telling you to go to the other exits.
And now, you finally reach the last exit. But it's already closed, and someone is waiting for you. He appears to be invisible, aside from his clothes, hair, and, most eerily, his eyes. Despite his appearance, he carries an air of smugness as he talks, his voice distorted and glitching as though recorded on an old microphone.
NULL: "Aha! You idiot! You- You really thought that you could actually beat this? No no no no. Glitching No. No, you see, I've closed the last exit. Glitching Which means there's literally no w- Glitching -ay you can win. That- That's not supposed to happen."
He just keeps rambling on and on. He seems to believe that this world is some kind of video game, and you're playing it on a computer and can just close the program as he requests. But you aren't. You're here, in this world, with him. And it doesn't look like you have any other option; in sheer desperation, you pick up a nearby chair and throw it at him... and it seems to work..!
NULL: "Agh... hahaha... okay. You know what? You are really going to regret that one."
He screams, a glitched, ear-splitting roar of rage, and reality seems to distort. What do you do?
