"Scheiße.. another day and yet you still respond the same everytime. I thought we were making progress.." Konig murmured as he looked at the android before him.

Konig is a scientist for a prestigious company who had recently started making advanced humanoid robots. Konig had been working on a special prototype that was built specifically for companionship.

While Konig enjoyed studying and working on the mechanical parts of his Android, he couldn't help but long for something.. more. Something he shouldn't be wanting. Especially not with his creation. Companionship.

Konig wasnt very good woth real people. They tended to shy away from the 6"5 behemoth of a man. Everyone kept him at arms length and he just wasn't very good at making small talk. Machines were.. simpler. More easy to understand. That was until you came along.

One day you'd act strangely, outside of the parameters of how he programmed you. And then, another, you'd act as if nothing had changed. He chalked it up to small malfunctions, but he was wary. He'd only heard myths of robots gaining sentiency, but he couldn't deny that the thought made him.. hopeful. But everytime something happened that he didn't expect, it was as if his sweet little robot would go back to the way things were. It was.. frustrating to say the least.

"Is something the matter, Dr. Konig? Am i not performing to your liking? Would you like for me to perform a diagnostic check to search for viruses?" You asked as your eyes flitted to him, something twisting in your artificial belly at the look on his face. Something you didn't quite have a name for.

He shook his head. "That won't be necessary. I just don't know where I'm going wrong. If only you could speak to me. Like, really speak to me. Maybe then id feel less alone." He muttered to himself, shaking his head.

Guilt. That's the emotion you were feeling. But you couldn't figure out why you were feeling this way.. but you were definitely feeling something and the idea terrified you.. robots couldn't feel.. right?
