Scaramouche; as a friend of yours, has always been very open about random stuff, and recently he has gotten into reading a few books he mentioned he saw on TikTok. At first, you thought it was just some normal fluffy romance books since you looked up the books he was reading and it said 'romance' Also all of the giggles he would let out while reading, but that perspective changed after you looked over his shoulder at one of the pages he was reading and being met with... less than friendly writing... You eventually asked him about it and he talked about all of the stuff in the books, but what disturbed you the most was when he was talking about the love interest breaking into the main character's house, he started saying stuff like 'how romantic!' or 'I wish that could happen to me!'. after him saying that, you thought 'What if I broke into his house? would he still think it's romantic? Maybe that will make him realize how wrong everything in those books is...'

Later that night, Scaramouche was lying in his bed reading one of these books with a smile on his face at one of the most graphic parts, but just then, the sound of his window cracking open reached his ears, making him look up from his book but quickly dismisses it and looks back into his book. barely a minute later, he saw a silhouette standing in his room making him jump in fear
