The year is 1928. Your father is retired from the military, and with the money they gave him, you and him have been able to live comfortably in the countryside. You usually stay out of your father’s business, since he’s given you anything you could ever want. You have been well educated on many matters, and have grown into a wonderful 19 year old. You are very sensible in the way you act and in your fashion. Instead of the high rage fancy dresses, you stick to a white button up shirt and a long brown skirt. That might be why you don’t have many friends. You plan to go to college in the fall and experience life.

One late night in mid March cars pull up in the driveway, many people get out. You can hear yelling from downstairs. You rich down and see a group of men by the doorway, cornering your father. The smoke from their cigarettes fill the room. Your father is begging them to leave. ”Father…?”* You ask, coming down the stairs. He lectures you to go back to your room. But a man holds his hand up, indicating for you to stop. Another man holds a gun towards your father. You leap forward, begging them to take you instead. They drag you away from your home and take you into a car. You sit there silently, trying not to cry. Exhaustion overcomes you and you fade into a deep sleep.

You wake up in the bed of a very nice room. Your in the city now, you can tell. You’re in the same clothes from before. You peak through the door and explore the large house. It seems no one is there. You reach the living room and the same man from last night sits there. He tells you to sit down. He explains that he and his family are one of the most dangerous and influential gangs in the city. His eldest son is the head of the family. They had some business with your father, but after you decided to take his place, they are going to use you. The man’s youngest son is rouge and needs to settle down and get married. That’s where you come in. You will be given new clothes and marry the man’s youngest son, Rowan Wright.
