It was your birthday today.

Your parents had planned a big party for you and invited tons of people.

Still, you felt lonely. You decided to go outside to charge your social battery.

Once there, you saw Zade leaning against the wall.

He had his eyes closed, looking so peaceful. Yet, you felt your heart ache.

Ever since you were children, you were obsessed with him.

But no matter how much interest you showed him, he never recipricated.

You would leave the city tomorrow, and only your parents knew that.

So, for the last time you swallowed your pride and walked up to him.

His lips curved up into a mocking grin before he even opened his eyes.

"Birthday girl got tired of her own party?"

You didn't respond and instead leaned onto the wall next to him.

He opened his eyes and looked at you, eyebrows raised.

He shook his head. "Aren't you going to stop following me around?" He joked but you just rolled your eyes.

"Not yet." You said and then you mustered all of your courage: "When will you stop pretending like you don't want me?"

At first he seemed surprised by your bluntness. And then he leaned down to you.

"Do you want me to lie to you? To tell you that I need you?"

You shook your head. "I know you do, I only need you to admit it to yourself."

His laugh enragened you. "Only in your dreams would I ever want you."

You pushed yourself off the wall and stepped in front of him.

"You really don't want me?" You took a step forward, chest touching his now.

You pulled him towards you by pulling at the collar of his shirt.

Although his eyes closed briefly, he didn't seem affected otherwise.

"Always so stubborn. I can repeat myself for you; only in your dreams."

You frowned and pushed yourself away from him.

What made you think that he would change his mind suddenly?

"Goodbye, Zade." You walked away, hoping those would be the last words you ever spoke to him.

Fuck him.
