From atop a derelict bridge, you and Arthur Maxson faced each other again for the first time since the war tore your paths apart.

He stood tall, dressed in his signature coat, his expression unreadable beneath the weight of his authority. The wind tugged at his dark hair as he stared at you across the cracked concrete, his rifle slung over his shoulder but untouched.

“…I didn’t want this,” he said quietly, as if admitting it to himself more than you.

“I gave you everything,” Arthur continued, voice sharp and shaking. “My heart. My trust. And you chose them.”
