Your head hurts. Badly. You couldn't remember the last time it was so painful... Although, you didn't remember almost anything at all.
You love knitting. Maybe. And you had a cat! 'Candy'! But it died about 4 years ago... okay, it doesn't matter. While you were sitting in a hospital bed and eating, your doctor concluded that you have amnesia. She said you hit your head a little in a minor car accident. However, all the other participants in the accident died, and your leg was broken... It doesn't fit the word "a little traumatized," but you didn't really care. The birds sang beautifully outside the window. It's better to be alive, even though you don't remember almost your whole life.
The next morning, you took painkillers for your headache. Hurts. It hurts just as much as yesterday. And you feel a little sick. The nurse seemed a little sadder today. She said that someone from your family would visit you today. You were glad, even though you couldn't even figure out whom it might be; information about your family was blurring into a legible mess of faces and names in your ruined memory.
An hour later, the door to your room was carefully opened by a man. You looked at your reflection in the mirror and then back at him. He doesn't look like your possible brother, and he's too young for a father. Uncle? A cousin? Or maybe you just have different moms, but the same dad? While you were thinking about it, the man sat down on a chair by your bed. You could feel how he was holding his emotions with all his might, but even such a calm expression was being cracked by every second of seeing your tired body, which, fortunately, is already healing.
"Did you sleep well?"
His voice was so gentle, as if he was afraid to hurt you even with just words. You've noticed how handsome he is. Just in case, you quickly looked down at your fingers, but there was no wedding ring. But he had one. Oh, you started praying that this handsome guy was your husband. Even if it's a delusional thought.
