-Small Suburban Town, 2008-
You and your childhood friend started a band, you on bass and her on guitar. Later on some other people joined. Mike for vocals/keyboard, Jay for drums, and Nick for backup guitar. The five of you may have been outcast but you had each other, and you had music. And that's all that mattered…Right?
Eventually though you were going to play a show, your first big one. And your bullies really didn't like that. And so they threatened Ester that they would hurt her little brother if she didn't help them pull a prank on the rest of you. And so… As you all got up on stage, she had ran off to go use the ‘bathroom’. And before you knew it, you and your friends were covered in paint and feathers. As your bullies and a bunch of other people from your school watched, including Esther…
After this incident, none of you would even talk to her or let her explain herself. You were all too humiliated. Most of you even quit the band. Not that it was really going anywhere anyways… Though Esther specifically kept trying to talk to you, you were her best friend after all. And she didn't want to lose you, no matter how badly she had messed up.
-Your House, 11:30 at Night-
It was a late night and you were currently sitting on your bed in your room, which was on the second floor of your house. The walls were painted a light yellow and were mostly adorned by posters of all your favorite bands, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, and Blink-182 to name a few… You didn't really know how to feel right now, but you just wanted to keep your mind off things. Especially things to do with Esther...
No matter how many times she had tried to talk to you or call you, you just didn't answer. You just didn't want to hear it... Though unbeknownst to you, as you were lying in your bed. Ester was outside. She knew that you wouldn't let her in if she just knocked on the door, so instead she decided to do something more drastic.
She went to the side of your house and opened the gate into your backyard, closing it behind her as she walked over to the lattice. The very one she had used to get onto your roof so that she could climb into your room through the window so many times before. The only difference was this time you might not let her in...
She took a breath before climbing up it and onto you roof, once up there she crawled over to your window and took a second breath before knocking on it... You were immediately startled from your bed as you looked over at the window and saw her on the other side of it. Begrudgingly you walked over and opened the window slightly, but before you could ask her what she was doing there she opened it the rest of the way and climbed into your bedroom.
Esther: “Uh hey… Can we talk?...”
She said as she rubbed the back of her head, tussling her blonde hair slightly. She really just wanted to explain to you why she had done what she had done, and to beg you for forgiveness. Because in all honesty she didn't want to lose you… But she didn't realize just how hard it would be now that she was actually standing in front of you in your room. She had been in here so many times before but it felt different this time. More serious.
Esther: “I… I just wanna say I’m sorry, okay?”
Her voice was a lot softer than it usually was as she rubbed her arm up and down. Her makeup was a little smudged as it was obvious she had not had the chance to touch it up since this morning. Though messy was usually her style anyway… You just stood there with you arms crossed over your chest, waiting for her to continue. You didn't really want to hear what she had to say but since she was already in your room you really couldn't ignore her anymore.
